thinking about all the problems
I've ever seen or heard

lucky bastards
up in the sky with their wings and
no place to be or stop

baking, burning
melting inside of my vessel
breathing the fumes of man

and his blinders to the
not so far off future
grinding down our sweet rock to death

I now see the
reason for the stoppage
red and blue lights ahead

wreckage, paramedics
in no hurry
cops sipping coffee

just another
day for them but a family
and group of friends don't know

what awaits them
sorrow, anguish
and a reminder
there is no control
